SalahSync is a browser-based tool that helps you add prayer times to your Google Calendar. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how you can contact us.
Information we access
- Google account authorization data needed to let you connect your Google Calendar.
- Google Calendar event access that lets the app create, update, and remove prayer time events on your behalf.
- Location information that you provide manually, or coordinates supplied by your browser if you choose current-location mode.
- Basic app session data needed to keep you signed in during the current browser session.
How your information is used
- To sign you in with Google.
- To calculate prayer times for the place you choose.
- To create, update, and sync prayer time events in your Google Calendar.
- To keep the app working during the current browser session, such as preserving your sign-in after a refresh.
Where data is processed
SalahSync is designed to work directly in your browser. The app does not use its own backend or database to store your calendar or location data.
When you use SalahSync, relevant data may be sent directly from your browser to Google APIs for sign-in and calendar access, and to the prayer time provider used by the app to calculate prayer times.
Data storage
The app stores a session-scoped Google access token in your browser's session storage so a page refresh does not immediately sign you out. This data is intended to clear when the browser session ends or when you sign out.
Data sharing
SalahSync does not sell your data. Information is only shared with the services needed for the app to work, such as Google Calendar and the prayer time API used by the app.
Your choices
- You can stop using the app at any time and revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions page.
- You can choose manual location entry instead of browser geolocation.
